Samsung Launches Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, and expects to break record sales previously set by S4.
Samsung launched its one of the most talked about smartphones on Friday. The company was all set to take the limelight from Apple’s smartwatch launch on the same day as well. To be fair, it will not be wrong to say that Apple is the uncrowned king of the smartphone industry. The organization has been better in terms of business, sales, and hardware and software, but failed to keep up with the pace and consequently failed to impress the market in recent times. However, Samsung Galaxy S6 was meant to be the breakthrough for the company in a long time.
The corporate giant was all set to launch its new Galaxy models – Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge – where the curved or edge one was more expensive than the conventional smart phone design of the company. Prior to its launch, it was expected that the business would smash sales records with its new smartphones. On Friday, as the sources state, it is said that its greatest and latest smart phones were launched in more than 20 countries throughout the world.
The launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is said to be the breakthrough because of the declining sales in previous years. The company wanted its Galaxy series to be a hit. However, the launch of S5 was not quite successful and it received mixed reviews. Furthermore, S5 led to ‘very poor’ sales throughout the year, which made space for Apple to rule over the smartphone industry.
So far, the company believes that it is ready to smash the sales records, which were previously set by Galaxy S4 at launch; more than 70 million phones sold. It has successfully launched the pre-order program for new Galaxy smartphones. The Business Unit Director of IT & Mobile Communications at Samsung, Digs Dimagiba said, “As a testament of Samsung’s commitment to give Filipino consumers only the best and the most advanced smartphone technology, we are now accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. We are taking the mobile experience of Samsung customers to the next level with exclusive offers through the Pre-Order Program available starting today.”
It is now a matter of time only when the corporate giant breaks record sales, as well as officially compete Apple’s products in the global market of smart phones. Its endeavors mark the future prospects, as market analysts and experts present their critics and reviews.
